Statement Jewellery!

Make your statement!

Am I the only one who feels even the most perfect of outfits can look a little unfinished without some piece of jewellery. I’m not necessarily implying that we must all always wear “The Big Statement Necklace! ” I do feel though that some accessory somewhere not only completes an outfit but also adds that unique touch and helps express our individuality.

Not only that but older (or should I say our more well-loved ) outfits can be given a new lease of life with the addition of some appropriately placed pieces. This not only helps maximise our wardrobes but also stretches our budget a little further (can’t be a bad thing).  So I’m always on the look out for some slightly different pieces, antique, vintage, a little blingy, big and bold or soft and delicate, boho or ethnic….well I am a bit of a magpie, I like collecting these things.

Anyway I thought I’d share with you one of my favourite ranges at the moment,1928 Jewelry. They pride themselves on taking their cue from all our favourite fashion eras and fusing them with todays trends. Hence some very lovely antique inspired pieces with realistic prices. You really are spoiled for choice here, there are pieces to suit every taste from gothic inspired chokers, filigree stretch bracelets to crystal lux and mother of pearl pendants and of course the Big Statement Bib necklaces!

The trick is in choosing the right piece for you. Where do you want people to look? What area are you trying to complement? What colour works best for you? A few pointers to be aware of.. Try matching some of the colour to either your hair or your eyes. Long pendants look great over plainer higher necked tops. Large shorter necklaces look good if they mirror the neckline of your top. Try wearing more than one necklace at a time, longer and shorter. Again more than one bracelet at a time is ok too. Mix and match beads with bangles.

The few examples here are just the tip of the iceberg so go on take a look at the whole collection, I dare you! (what was I saying about that bank balance?
